Hi there! I'm Newton J. Copland-Remnikopf, unprofessionally known as Newton Cooper. I'm a nineteen year old bigender fellow (he/it/any) from Norway with an autistic special interest in media archival, specifically surrounding Pretty & Nice.
I'm an avid collector of both digital and physical media, and I find a lot of pleasure in categorising and saving things that are likely to be lost to time.
I've been working on this since I was 16. I experienced some really fucked shit at my school at the time (and was almost murdered as a result) and Pretty & Nice is what helped me break out of the isolation I put myself through in those times. I treat it very seriously and it is one of the biggest joys in my life, really. It's introduced me to a lot of very cool people, including multiple DIY musicians and especially the members of the band, who have treated me so graciously throughout all these years.
When I'm not doing whatever I do on this website, I do much the same thing for the defunct music festival LeeFest, and many of the bands who played there.
I would advise you not to get me started, or else we'll be here all night.
Additionally, I draw. All the time. I rarely go a day without drawing. I'm also attempting to learn guitar, and sometimes I write about bands and music, or films and TV.
In addition to the autism, I have DID and OCD, both of which are not very big deals for you, but might have an effect on the way I interact with you socially. I may have trouble recalling things, and my behaviour and perception of myself may fluctuate heavily. Never be afraid of asking me for clarification or telling me when I've done something wrong, in fact I ask you to do so whenever you feel it necessary.
